Melissa Otero is a multiple ASCAP award winning international songwriter and Latin Pop artist from Yauco, Puerto Rico. She is the recipient of the Best Female Latin Artist in the 2016 Premios Latinos in New York City after her massive success with the television shows Dance Moms (Lifetime TV) and award winning telenovela Reina de Corazones (Telemundo and Telemundo International).

Her songs “With You (Contigo)” and “No Soy Un Ángel” were part of the official soundtrack for Reina de Corazones in 2014 which catapulted Melissa into an overnight international success with over 100,000,000 audiences around the world tuning in for the next several years to the telenovela. One particular country which saw great responses for her music was India in late 2017 when Reina de Corazones was broadcast for the first time and a fan made video of “No Soy Un Ángel” amassed over 27 million views within two months!

For the television show “Dance Moms”, Melissa’s song “Angels and Demons” was the main theme of the Season 3’s 1st episode in which during it’s initial broadcast, over 3 million people tuned in to watch and currently has over 8 million combined streams on YouTube.

Her first European tour for the album Erotomania in 2019 brought Melissa and her band onto the stages for festivals such as Live at Heart Fest (Sweden), Warwick In The Park (England), GlastonBURY (England), and several performance dates between Germany and France.

During the 2020 COVID lockdown, Melissa wrote the album “Antología” with the focus on bringing her roots and Latin rhythms back into her repertoire with such songs such as “Locura” and “Por Amor”.

Returning to the stage after COVID brings fresh Latin Pop music with special guests Dany and Kevin Alisson. The release of the first single of the album Corazón Terco is scheduled to launch at the end of the year in 2022.
